MERIT BADGE SHINDIG
FEBRUARY 11, 2012 8:00AM – 5PM
LDS CHURCH 15, CHAPEL HILL, NAPA
It’s time for the 2012 Merit
Badge Shindig. The date is Saturday Feb 11, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Cost is $15 if registered in
advance (payable at
the door); $20 at the door if not preregistered.
The Merit Badge Shindig is a great way for scouts to get started on
new badges or to finish partials. Crew advisors, Scoutmasters, and
parents, please encourage your kids to attend. Please review the
list of classes and sign up NOW! Give a
copy of this form
to your Scout Master and/or email to
meritbadgeshindig@aol.com no later than February 6. If you have
additional questions or concerns, or you would like to be a merit
badge counselor (we need you!) please email the aforementioned
email. The form is attached to the email for your convenience.

December 2011
Congratulations to Jonnie Hagan who was elected
District Chairman of the Silverado District at the December
Roundtable. Jonnie brings a wealth of Scouting experience and fun to
the district.
Congratulations to Donna Livingston-Fitch who was elected District
Commissioner of the Silverado District at the December Roundtable.
Donna has served in many district and council positions and looks
forward to helping the district grow.
Continuing in his position as District Executive is Marc Slater.
Marc
spent his first year working on relationships within the district
and
looks forward to our continued success.

ADMINISTRATION OF THIS SITE, CONTACT SOMEONE IN THE DISTRICT - MARK SLATER,
OR JONNIE HAGAN OR DONNA LIVINGSTONE-FITCH.
IT COULD BE AN EFFECTIVE TOOL IF USED
PROPERLY.
As you now know, things are changing for both the Silvergate
and Napa Districts. They have merged. So this web site will get
a face list in the near future. I will keep much of the historical content
available on the site. Your input will be greatly appreciated in
ideas, announcement, pictures, and other content.

Merit Badge Counselor List Now Available. Just
click here. There is now a new
Merit Badge Counselor List as of October 2009.
Check this site often for updated information about
events specific to the Silver Gate District. First check the Events
that are happening in the district. Each section of the website
has a contact person. Feel free to click on the e-mail link on
that page and send them your comments or input.
We need your e-mail address to
provide you current information in a timely manner. Please submit your e-mail
address to the webmaster so you can be on our mailing list.
Our objective is to keep this site current with up to date
information...Your one stop shop for District information.
If you have a district/troop related web page, let
our webmaster know. We will put a link on the links page. I am sure your will do the same on your site.
Send in your Scouting picture.
Each week (or so) we
would like to feature a picture and brief description on this
page. So e-mail your .jpg format picture as an attachment to to
our webmaster. We
will put as many as possible on the website to share the fun with
others.
