The Clocktower will be open at 12:00 for exhibitor setup.
What is it? A venue for Scouts and families to
swap, buy, or sell clothing and outdoor gear. A great opportunity to get
inexpensive, serviceable new and used outdoors stuff! Local outdoor gear
and clothing specialists (Any Mountain, REI, Sunrise Mountain Sports) will
be invited to sell new and used items with special "Swap Meet"
deals! All transactions (whether purchase or exchange) are between
attendees and exhibitors exclusively. Troop 8 is only providing the venue.
The Gear and Clothing Guru will be there to
answer questions and to help those in need of guidance. And, dont
forget, the local outdoor gear and clothing specialists will be on hand as
well.
Does it cost anything? No cost for non-exhibiting
attendees. However, anyone who intends to sell many items are
"exhibitors" and will be asked to occupy a booth for which they
will "chip in" $10 for each booth they use. Booths range
in size from 8 x 10 to 8 x 14. Tables (3 x 8) and
folding chairs are available.
Sodas will be available for 50 cents per can.
This is not intended to be a fund raising event.
Proceeds from booth and soda sales will help to cover costs directly
related to the Swap Meet.
